Ok. The only REAL FREE domains are www.co.nr and dot.tk (yourname.tk)

Unless you want to sign up for 6.99p/m (Price is 4.99p/m till may 6) hosting that gives you free .com domain.
smallpricehost.com

Check dot.tk out

Why not also co.cc? Pretty popular and free. Requires no link back and gives you full DNS control. So you can do what ever you want with it.

Well if you can delete domain and get it again I think you can try that domain provider.
Co.cc is probably the best free in that field. You can always go for something safe.
I have used it one time but after you discover that you will have some problems with indexing then you give up from it.
Try not to use two domain names or aliases for one domain. Wether that is redirection or something else it can seriously get bad in search engine results.
Plesk control panel is popular in creating domain aliases. But that means if you want it by your own needs. Here is the main site of plesk:
http://www.parallels.com/eu/spp/parallelsplesk/
I think it is in top 3 control panel software after Cpanel and in front of Fantastico.
And what  are Domain Aliases?
Well Domain Aliases allows you to assign more than one domain name to one web site with Action that you can have an how many as you want domains pointing to a single web site or web page.

Well besides .co.cc there is also .uni.cc from www.uni.cc but for a free TLD with full DNS go to www.dntemple.com they are a Post 2 Host with domains basically you post and you get anywhere from 1-5 DN$ a post and once you get 1,000 you can convert it to credits on www.n4me.eu (You have to make a free account there first) then you can buy a domain with those credits and wala you have a "Free" domain with full dns and everything.
